The singer was one of the couple’s three sons. With births in 1962, 1965, and 1972, respectively, for his brothers Clay and Scott, Trace was the oldest. Sadly, in 1993, Scott, the youngest of them, died in a truck accident.
Father of Trace Adkins Started His Musical Journey
Adkins was raised in a musical family. James W. Carraway, his maternal uncle, was a Christian singer.
When it came to music, little Trace demonstrated excitement. His father was made aware of this.
At the age of ten, Aaron purchased a guitar and hired a teacher to help him with music. His singing career began with this, and it has never ended.
He became a member of the Christian singing ensemble New Commitments while attending Sarepta High School.
His musical journey was moulded by a tragic occurrence in his life. When Trace attempted to use a knife to open a bucket, he cut off his pinky finger.
He could not have played the guitar because of that. Luckily, the surgeon was able to restore his finger to his hand at a specific angle, allowing him to continue playing. He performed in Nashville, Tennessee, and the Ark-La-Tex region.
